Andromeda – The meaning behind rescue

Being mindful of sins

committed or to be committed,

this was the answer the Greek reminded us,

of our place,

Andromeda, dutiful daughter

followed her fate and found herself chained – waiting

Had she consulted the Oracle herself, would have found a

loophole in this story,

Rescue – double-edged sword

to free the path of confinement, danger or evil

from ourselves or from others,

rescue as

fate binds us to our path,

always waiting for the other shoe to drop,

these things are the stuff that mythos are made from,

tragedy and irony,

laughter and punishment,

As Andromeda find herself chained between a rock and a hard place,

so the saying goes,

waiting for deliverance

a swift stroke of a sword.
