The Legend of the Chimera

The ancient Greeks believe the Chimera to be a

monstrous, fire-breathing female creature,

Part lioness body with a tail of a serpent,

and from the back, emerges a goat’s head.

It has also come to mean, an impossible or foolish fantasy,

I tell you these matters are not the be taken lightly,

The heart of a woman is more fiery than the

fiery breath of a chimera,

Passion erupts and subsides,

A cascade of molten lava overtakes

a slumbering village and

even the mighty heart of Volcano Woman must

cry out now and then – heartache,

What/Who is the foolish fantasy now
